a 13" Retina-class screen on a boom arm.

Google's $1300 Chromebook Pixel has an awesome screen. i only want the screen.

the most painful difference between a $300 laptop and a $1300 laptop is the quality of the screen.

Apple started the Retina-Screen trend, by putting amazing screens into the iPhone, iPad and Macbook. but Apple doesn't make those screens, they buy them from LG and Samsung. why should i buy a premium laptop or a specific OS, when i just want the screen? why can't i just have awesome screens that plug into anything?

i built this two years ago, and it's such a long, rambling project that i'm taking awhile to document it.
